beer tasting

Yesterday was Wednesday and a girlfriend and I went to Wine World in Destin to go beer tasting. This was a first for me besides the flights of beer you can get at restaurants. There were nine beers altogether and three of them I really liked. Liefmans Fruitesse which was pretty sweet and I normally don't like sweet drinks, but it was the perfect pool-side drink! The other beer I loved was a banana clove one from Pennsylvania - Weyerbacher Merry Monks. Last one was the Gulden Draak Quad which was a Belgian ale with port and dark fruits. Yum! In addition to this we got a free bottle of wine!

Also yesterday I squatted 165 lbs! Originally my goal was 125 which was easy so with each set I increased the weight by ten pounds. By the time I reached 165 I was too fatigued to go higher but I bet next time I'll be good to go straight to 175.

I wanted to vent about something that has been bothering me quite a bit recently. I'm NOT okay with copy cats and I'm not okay with unoriginality. Flattery is one thing, but copying is another.  It's like plagiarism and it's becoming a more prevalent idea as I observe in my day-to-day life. I want to encourage people to be original and to be themselves.

Another thing that bothers me is bullying, whether it's cyber or physical.  People who hide behind a computer or cell phone and torment others for gratification is despicable. It's much like copying and it's becoming way too accepted in society. These attributes shouldn't be the norm. People who claim to be good people that engage in these types of behaviors are not good people.  My brother has been an inspiration and has helped me open my eyes to become a more loving, accepting and charismatic individual.

Squats are probably my favorite exercise.

Almost there! You get back what you put out.

Florida sunsets will NEVER get old!
